As a professional detailing and PPF installation studio, we have tested both Jeeletec PPF and their Installation GEL for PPF and Window Tint, and we are very satisfied with the overall performance.
The installation gel is one of the most interesting products in their range. Since it comes as a concentrated powder, you can adjust the viscosity exactly to your own installation style. This is a big advantage for professional installers, because different panels and different techniques require different levels of slip and control. You can prepare a thinner mixture for easy positioning and larger flat panels, or a thicker gel when you need more control on complex shapes, curves and edges.
The gel provides excellent glide and makes positioning the film very easy, while still giving good control when you start locking the film down. During squeegeeing it works extremely well and helps to move installation solution, very small particles and contaminants out from underneath the film. We noticed that it makes the installation process cleaner and more controlled, especially on larger panels.
It also helps reduce unnecessary grabbing of the adhesive during positioning, which means less risk of adhesive marks and less stress when working on difficult areas. Repositioning is easy, the film can be worked without fighting the adhesive too early, and fingers can be handled and closed in a controlled way.
We are also very impressed with Jeeletec PPF itself. The film has very good optical clarity, strong gloss and a smooth surface with low visible orange peel. Stretching characteristics are predictable and the film conforms well around curves and complex shapes without feeling overly soft or unstable.
The adhesive has a good balance between initial tack and repositionability. Once positioned correctly, the film locks down well, edges can be finished cleanly, and we have not experienced excessive adhesive distortion during normal installation.
The self-healing performance is also very good, and the final finish looks clean, glossy and professional.
What we like most is the combination of the Jeeletec PPF and their installation gel. Together they provide very good slip, control, repositioning and final finish, which makes the complete installation process faster and more predictable.
From the point of view of a professional PPF installer, Jeeletec offers a very strong combination of film quality, installation characteristics and value.
We are happy to use these products in our studio and can definitely recommend them.
